The Ottawa Chapter

Research

In 1996 a group of people united to create the Ottawa Chapter of Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

The group currently consists of parents of children with a neuromuscular disorders, adults with a neuromuscular disorder, some of their relatives and volunteers who wish to help us attain our goals. The Chapter provides support and assistance to persons with neuromuscular diseases in Ottawa, Lanark and Prescott-Russell.

The Chapter does fund-raising and plans social events for members and their families. Members of the Chapter are able to access the Community Service Fund to help with the purchase and repair of equipment that is essential for a person with a neuromuscular disorder.

The strength of our chapter lies with our membership. Anyone with an interest in helping us reach our goal can be a member. Join us in finding a cure for neuromuscular disorders.
